Dear Friends and Colleagues,
On behalf of the executive and the local organizing committees, it is a great honor and pleasure to invite you to attend the XIX Congress of the Latin American Thyroid Society.
After three long years of not being able to meet in person, I find this will be a wonderful opportunity to see each other, to be able to network, and mainly, to have time to enjoy a wonderful congress all together again.
A scientific congress means science and our president-elect, together with the scientific committee designed a wide program containing notable advances in basic aspects and the management of thyroid diseases.
The local organizing committee worked hard to make all the organizational aspects of this event move smoothly and I am very thankful to all of them.
Beyond exceptional conferences by eminent speakers, symposiums, meet the professor sessions, oral presentations, posters, the classical Kocher Conference, and the Ultrasound Course, we will have a wide space for the exchange of experiences between all participants in an informal and friendly atmosphere which will facilitate the discussion after the scientific exhibitions.

On behalf of the Scientific Committee, we are pleased to welcome young and senior scientists, clinicians, and other health care professionals from Latin American Countries to this in-person event which is held bi-annually.

Guided by the main theme "Thyroid in the era of Precision Medicine", the Scientific Committee of LATS 2023 planed an exciting program that highlights the updates and recent advances that has been achieved from research in basic science through the novel and effective approaches in diagnosis and treatment of patients with thyroid diseases. The latest in science will be presented in parallel sections various formats Including symposiums, hot topic sessions, meet the professor, multidisciplinary panel discussion, clinical cases discussion and state of-the-art plenary lectures. In addition, we will offer pre-congress parallel educational activities. The thyroid ultrasound masterclass; the Kocher conference, that will focus on emerging technologies that are changing the field; and the Thyroid in the Era of Precision Medicine course that will discuss key knowledge and tools to understand the fundamentals and real-world applications of precision medicine in thyroid diseases.

The young investigators will certainly get inspired by the distinguished speakers from USA, Canada, Europe and Latin American Countries. The LATS congress also honor two promising young investigators who are devoted to thyroid research in clinical and basic areas, as a “seeding mechanism�. LATS also acknowledge a senior investigator with an award for his/her contributions in the thyroid field.
